Perfect neutralization is very important in dyeing process. Bad impact to the color strength (the color shifting / bleeding color) is occurred when the selection of chemical and processing techniques are not appropriate. This research is aiming at determining the influence of neutralizing agent as a neutralization adjuvant to color shifting. Primary metal complex, acid, and direct dyes are the materials in this research. Test is conducted with SNI. 06-2867-1992, resilience test method to neutralizing agent , which is then developed with other 2 types of neutralizing agent Na2CO3, NaHCO3, HCOONa, and CH3COONa and H2O as a benchmark. Assessment in this research is conducted with grey-scale for assessing. Furthermore, the test result data is analyzed by SPS software 2000 which uses Mann-Whitney Test Method where ά = 0.05 (95 percent). Analysis result notes that all dyes undergo color shifting. Metal complex dyestuff is noted to be more stable except for NaHCO3, whereas direct dyestuff is the most unstable if it is compared with other two types of dyes.
